No matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to stay on top of all of the things that are important to me. Loss of focus, perhaps minor bouts of depression, or just plain laziness could be the culprits, take your pick, but something always seems to get in the way.
The changes I’m struggling to master: keeping a really clean house with a regular cleaning schedule, keeping my yard mowed, edged, whipped, and blown, eating better, moving my body more, sleeping better/on a schedule, waking up earlier, and making efforts to be more social.
It seems that I can manage two or three of these items well but the rest fall by the wayside. I feel like I’m juggling but I still have limits on how many of these focuses I can juggle at once. Some things have to be set down in order to work others into the mix.
I definitely get frustrated and don’t want to be the person who uses excuses. I know all of the things I want to master are doable. I know it also takes time to develop new habits and master them. I just tend to be impatient.
However, I have recognized I am spending too much time on my phone looking at social media, reading rants on Reddit, and the news. If I were to lessen that time, I would have more time to do things that are ultimately more important to me.
This weeks goal: less phone/social media time. More time DOING.
